Indeed, communication with the "outside world" about the vision and progress of Nanish Shontie is essential to our purposes. We plan to communicate robustly in the following media:

Website: Already completed, our website will be a pillar of our communication system. We plan to utilize a web-master to update and refresh our site with useful and up-to-date information as ofton as possible. The website will someday feature listserv, chat and bulletin board-forum facilities to enable us to be fully interactive with our supporters. CGI-scripted forms will enable us to poll our visitors regularly and collect data from them, including updates to our e-mail lists. The website will also be the hub for video-conferenced live communications and electronic seminars. Finally, the website will also provide access to downloadable forms of our regular newsletter.

E-mail: Hand-in-glove with our website, we are actively cultivating an e-mail list, so that we may further link ourselves to those who support us and believe in our purposes worldwide. E-mail is nearly instantaneous, avoids costly print and layout expenses, and eliminates postage expense.

Mailing list: Our current mailing list of approximately 2,500 has been expanded by our acquisition of a loaned-list of 4,200 names and organizations;

Newsletter: We have published and distributed our first newsletter, which was mailed in 2000 to those of our subscribers who were unable to receive it via e-mail. Our experience at the previous camp, Meta Tantay, was that the newsletter was a unifying feature in our communications which expanded our continuing community, and the source of significant contributions from those who believed in our purposes;

Publications, pamphlets, video and documentary material and articles: Volunteer writers will prepare publications that will distribute and share portions of our traditional ways which we are willing to impart to the public at large. This will be done under the guidance of traditional elders so that the information shared will be done with their blessings.
